The dates for our eastern NC bear season are found on page 46 of the 2017-2018 NC Regulation digest.  In Currituck County, bear season is from November 11 – November 18.  It comes back in from December 11 – 23.  Surrounding counties have similar season dates, but they are not all the same.  If you have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to give us or the NC Wildlife Resources Commission a call.

Daily & Season limit: 1 bear

In order to harvest a bear, you must have a license with the correct privileges attached.  These include a state hunting license, big game license, and a bear management e-stamp ($10).  Nonresident hunters must also purchase the bear privilege ($225).
