Reminder: Canada Goose season will begin on January 12 here in our part of NC. We are part of the NE Hunt Zone, so a permit is required to harvest Canada Geese during this season.  Permits are available at any wildlife service agent as well as online.  They are $5, plus the $2 transaction fee.  This special goose season runs through January 27, 2018.  Youth hunters that plan to hunt during the February Youth Waterfowl Hunting Days must purchase a NE Hunt Zone permit before regular season goes out.  After January 27, permits will no longer be available for purchase.
